Donald Trump’s eldest son, who was at the center of the Trump campaign’s Russia investigation, will testify before the House Intelligence Committee on Thursday.
Trump Jr. said Wednesday he’s prepared to testify under oath to the House panel because he wants to make sure the committee understands the scope of the probe, according to The Associated Press.
The Republican said his testimony will be limited to his interactions with Trump Jr., and he’ll be asking questions about whether Trump Jr.’s actions and the campaign’s response to them are in line with campaign policies, according a letter from his lawyers.
Trump Jr has not yet commented on the hearing.
A number of other high-profile Republicans have also appeared before the committee, including House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Republican of California, and House Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.).
Trump Jr., who was one of the subjects of the congressional investigation, has said he’ll cooperate fully with any congressional investigation.
